Fool in Time.

November 9, 2007

Maybe If I wait a moment,
I will catch a falling star,
watch the ever passing seconds,
Forever can be far.

Tell me if i wait this moment,
WIll she learn to take my hand
Will you wrap me up in time,
will you wrap me up in time

Tell me,

Chorus:

What’s the deal with waiting for a sign,
does it help to let the days go by, watch her fly.
If hope’s a tunnel that will end in light,
call me then a fool that’s trapped in time.
A fool in time.

Maybe if i wait a moment,
I will catch her for a while,
Maybe if i pause a moment,
She will turn to me and smile

Maybe If I wait a moment,
She will turn to me and say
will you fix my broken heart
will you dance with me tonight?

Bridge:

Can i be the constant in your
formula of life,
Can I be the one that picks you up at five
Can I pick the colours to the curtain on our walls,
Can I be the knock that would open up your door.

You Are God

November 9, 2007

We will bow down before
Our hearts will be still and know,
King of the earth, our Lord,
You’re all that we’re living for.

With all that we have we come,
Join with the world in song,
we lift up my eyes,
Our hands open wide,
Lord we will lift our voices.

Chorus

You are wonderful,
You are beautiful,
Maker of everything,
Lord You are, Lord You are.

You’re our Saviour friend,
Your grace never ends,
You are our all in all,
Lord You are, Lord you are,
You are God.

You are God (x3)
Lord You are, Lord you are

A Love Song

September 17, 2007

I could write a thousand songs
There’s one i know i’ll write,
not with a thousand words,
but written with my heart.

I’m afraid, its hard to say,
How can i love you everyday,
but help me sing,
with faith i have,
Someday I’ll learn to pray.

Break my world,
break my heart,
Bring my knees to the ground
I am here, in your courts I am found

Turn my eyes to the sky,
Save me Lord, from my pride,
Heart Abandon, Hands held wide.

Its been a while, so many years,
but still I’ve yet to find,
A song with those thousand words,
that paints a picture of my heart.

I’m afraid, its hard to say,
Dear lord jesus have your way,
But help me sing,
With each step i take,
someday I’ll learn to say.

The Eight Minute Song

September 17, 2007

Friday morning,
sun through the rain,
taking in the blur,
the faces on the train.

I sit here writing,
with time to spare,
let me tell you a story,
my world without care.

Help me pause for a moment,
take a picture in time,
Paint all the faces,
collage of their lives,
allow me another moment,
do away with my time,
What if all I see,
is the best there is of now.

Six more minutes,
no rush, I’m here,
I am Present, I smell,
I see, hear.

smell of coffee,
the tap of the keys,
sound of the laughter,
the rip on my jeans,

Two minutes left,
at the bridge of this song,
Feels i’ve been writing
a lifetime long.

One final minute,
what can I say,
Let me be present
to the rest of the day.

Amen.

Table for Two

September 7, 2007

I look to the heavens,
I search for a sign,
Silly, I’m hoping, that maybe I’ll find,
Will someone please tell me,
if you’re dreaming tonight,
Can my heart fall from my eyes.

Is it too much to hope for,
Is it too high to fly,
Will my sleep find me easy,
will the cold hold my eyes,
If can choose what i dream of,
This my dream tonight.

Take my hands let me lead you along,
pick the words to the sound of this song,
All of tonight, i’ll be dancing with you.
I’ve set a table for two.

The brush stroke of heaven,
smudges the sky,
Simple, searching, maybe I’ll find,
Amongst the stars, a smile left behind,
that’s all that i need tonight.

Can I buy you a pencil,
for the rest of my life?
Can i match them with colors,
or colors with white?
Can I dream of these moments ?
If this is my dream tonight.

Take my hands let me lead you along,
pick the words to the sound of this song,
All of tonight, i’ll be dancing with you.
I’ve set a table for two.

Co-write this story,
on the pages lay pen,
when words come few,
you can color or paint,
Frame a picture,
of the years that will come,
with both our smiles, tonight.

Life Worth Living

September 7, 2007

In the greatest act of grace,
You lay your life,
You lay our life down.

Overcomer of the grave,
Christ you stand
Christ you stand crowned

The greatest hope the world to know,
the lost of life that saves the world.

Make my life worth,
an ending,
Take my life,
make it yours,
Every breath,
worth a story,
Take my heart,
I am yours.

For a world that’s lost its faith,
saving grace,
saving grace found.

King of glory take Your place,
all the earth,
all the earth, bow.

Died a death the world to show,
what it takes to save the world.

Make my life worth,
an ending,
Take my life,
make it yours,
Every breath,
worth a story,
Take my heart,
I am yours.

In Progress. Hope

September 7, 2007

I see a canvas,
painting a work in progress,
I see twelve colours,
still in the twelve pencils,
I see a family,
with a blur of faces,
I hear the children,
with names still on hold,
I see a generation,
a crowd in the distance,
I peek into the future,
still you are in control.

Sometimes hope is enough,
to keep hoping on,
sometimes maybe is enough,
to walk through the storms,
Teach me to give a moment,
to give today a chance,
To wait for an answer,
waiting on the dance.

I see a shinning city,
today still asleep,
I see fathers with children,
unborn, still a dream,
I see open heavens,
breaking of the sky.
I see the a cosmic ovation,
as the world wonders why.
Show me how to see,
to open up tomorrow.

Sometimes hope is enough,
to keep hoping on,
sometimes maybe is enough,
to walk through the storms,
Teach me to give a moment,
to give today a chance,
To wait for an answer,
waiting for the dance.

Give today my daily bread,
a little more for tomorrow.
All I ask is for hope,
to see and to keep seeing,
for hope is all i have,
To open the next door.

Bang!

June 12, 2007

Bang. White streaks across the sky.
Staining the atmosphere with brightness of day.
The scream of scramjets break the stillness,
Heaven explodes with gold of the dawn,
I’m running out of words to describe.

The heart skips its beat,
The deafening colision of cosmic colours
The mountains applaude,
The clouds find formation, perfect.
I’m running out of words to describe.

Let me taste the colour purple
Can I smell the number 5,
let see the smell of coffee,
hear the cry of unborn babies,
Can my heart touch grace.

This is my world,
A picture of your collective imagination,
Tilting just right to catch the morning light.
Shaded white at its poles and mountain peaks.

This is your world,
A real time ever blooming exclamation,
Of the splendor of heaven’s intention,
Ordained we stand as guardians,
To this world of mine.

Make me happy. You can

June 12, 2007

Borrow my smile,
Have my sun for the day,
Take my bright yellow tunes,
Make my good times yours.
You can.

Take a picture of my over happy,
Catch my cold,
Fit into my old blue sweater,
Sip my morning coffee.
You can.

Its really that simple,
The flowers smell good.
The pidgeons are pink.
The trains are late.

You wrap this world in shades of sunshine,
Fall from your palms, your magic stardust,
Cast a spell upon me, You make me happy.

Catch the first train to your stop,
Find a one way ticket,
Toss you a little bucket,
filled with joy and laughter.
I Can.

Buy a little heaven,
pack your lunch with a happy note.
Cut and paste my heart into yours.
I Can.

Its really that simple,
The flowers smell good.
The pidgeons are pink.
The trains are late.

Shop with me for the right door to open,
Kneel with me on the grey carpet,
Choose the colours of the curtain on our walls,
Tell me again that White goes with twelve other colours.

Boys don’t cry.

June 12, 2007

They say that boys don’t learn to cry,
I’m missing tears, from these dry eyes,
You can tell, the heart won’t lie,
I’m drowning inside.

Just too cold, I’ve worked too hard,
Saved the world, I’ve lost your heart,
Tell me why, the music starts,
A chapter behind

I’ll fight for minutes,
If I could turn back months,
Can ‘just in time’ be good enough,
Am I too late, stay a while.

Pause for me, can I restart,
Chapter 1, into your heart,
Change this channel of my life,
Take me back and,

Pick the scene, with sunny skies
The merry go round, the happy rides,
Fill the world with black and white,
Still I can’t cry.

Close this chapter of my life,
Pack the bags, wave goodbye,
The cab is waiting, one last ride,

A half past ten, a flight to catch,
A one way ticket, a gate to match,
The boarding call, I won’t look back,
